📱 Setting up from an iPhone?

Use the FinWise Web App instead — iOS doesn't allow any installed app to read SMS, but the web app runs beautifully in Safari with automatic transaction sync via Apple Shortcuts. Follow the web app setup guide →

Or, if you're moving to a new Android phone and want your old iPhone's message history on it, your phone's own official migration tool can bring it over via USB:

Samsung phone: Smart Switch — Samsung's own app, pre-installed on most Samsung phones.
Other Android phones: Google's own Switch to Android app.

This brings over history — it doesn't make FinWise track new transactions unless that Android phone keeps receiving your bank's texts going forward (i.e. your SIM is in it).
